    Higher PH during Shocking

Ok so i had 2 really long days of work and neglected to add bleach, so i decided to shock then get back on track. After i added 2 178 oz walmart bleach i came up with these numbers

    FC : 15
    CC: .50
    PH 8.2
    TA: 70
    Temp: 86
Did not check cya or CH <-----was told ch was not a hugh deal on vinyl

I have never had a single problem with my ph. But i checked it after i added the bleach. There is nothing i can do about it tonight, but will it go back down, am i getting a higher reading due to the bleach? Or should i hit Lowes first thing in the morning.

Typically, with FC levels over 10 ppm, a falsely high pH is to be expected. Recheck it when your FC falls below shock level.

While shocking your pool you will get false PH readings. Wait till it drops below 10ppm and recheck it ...
