Orange stains if water at ideal levels!

    Hi all,

I installed a SWG 2 weeks ago. I got my water analysed, added salt and after a couple of days I succedded to balance the correct level for the PH, the chlorine and the total alkalinity.
My problem is if I keep the total alkalinity between 80 and 120 as recommended, all the walls of my pool are turning orange! (I've got a fiberglass pool)
I have to keep the alkalinity below 50ppm to have perfect white walls.

Is that normal for a fiberglass pool?
Can I add something to the water to keep it between 80 and 120 and have no stains?

    Thanks for any advice.
5500 gals FiberGlass pool, Hayward propane heater. (Very usefull here in Quebec!)
