if it was a losing battle this website wouldn't exist because one of the foundations of it would be flawed. keep it up, you can see many threads of how difficult it can be. get reagent sooner than later.
Despite the ammonia test results - I think you did have an ammonia issue. I think you are seeing the "end of the road" stage....you oxidized most of the ammonia when you were seeing really high CC levels and the test revealed a residual amount left. Hang in there, keep shocking, it's the only way to get rid of it.
Thanks a lot.......I thnk I had this problem since I moved in the house 3 years ago.....Never really tried to figure pool chem. out until now....Just did what the pool store said....
I have ordered more reagent for the tf test kit, but is this the same thing from leslies to hold me over till it arrives?
