Help - filter size inadequate for my pool?

I have a 36000 gal pool here at my apartment complex and when its swim season I have to clean my pool filters every day If not the psi gos over 20 I have a sta-rite system 3 with two filters one is 100 sq ft and the other is 200 sq ft I was told that my system was not the right size for this big of pool any help on this one also with the claning of the filters some one had said some thing about a PVC canisters that you can slide in the filters and add dishwashing soap and it would clean them does any one know where I can get that or build one.

Is your sta rite the straight cart model or the cart/DE model?
If it is the straight cart model all you need is a plastic garbage can big enough to completely submerge the filter in and then follow these instructions:
