Questions on my new TF-100 test kit

The CYA test: I fill the sight tube, can still see the black dot......local pool shop tests CYA as 40

TA: TF-100 tests it as 160......My old test kit says 100, as well as the local shop.....

Whats up between the results...

Have you had any significant water replacement since the 40 result? Are you certain you followed the instructions carefully? Are you doing the test in indirect light (not direct sunlight)?

The TA test, wipe the tip of the dropper bottle with a damp cloth in between drops, and see if you get a different result.

Thanks....The water was tested the same day....i tried it in the sun, shade, and inside....I would say the the pool store may be wrong, buy i did add 4 #s of stabilizer about 3 weeks ago, so there has to be some in there....

I'll try the method with the TA test
