New Motor installed - Problem

OK I obviously did something wrong.
Seeing if anyone here knows the answer before I can figure it out.

The motor is rapidly cycling on and off. 1 sec intervals, sounds like a relay inside the rear housing of the motor. It comes on, water begins to flow, but before it gets up to speed the click comes then it shuts off, then immediately comes back on.

It is an exact replacement motor so I did not have to modify anything. OK - Edited this part so I won't look so stupid later;

No sparks or circuit trips nothing obvious like that, The only change was going from a 14/2 Whip to a 10/2 but I assumed that would be an improvement, I could be wrong.

Thanks Mike

Problem solved - Lesson for others.

My mistake was "ASSUMING" that since I had 220v It should be set for 220v.
It was actually wired as 2 - 110v lines, I changed the internal motor setting to 115v and it seems to be behaving exactly As I had hoped - Quietly!!!!
