Cleaning DE filter?

How many times can I "back wash" and "charge" a Hayward Pro Grid 60 Filter before I have to disassemble it and hose it out?

There's not really a set number of times you can backwash before you need to break down the filter and clean it out, however if you get to the point where a backwash and recharge does not drop back to your normal "clean pressure" you may want to break down and clean it out at that time. It is also a good idea to open it up and do a little maintenance annually. Hose everything off, check for damaged grids or cartridges, put silicon lube on o-rings, ect.
