Water temp at 60, but closing this weekend

So my water temp finally hit 60 degrees today but I will not be closing the pool until Sunday...I hope. My question is, do I have to maintain a FC of 3 to 5 still, or can I let the FC drift below until I am ready to close? My CYA is 40 and my FC is presently at 3 ppm. Any advice would be much appreciated.S

If you are adding PolyQuat 60 Algaecide, you should be fine. Remember to open up early in the spring. I doubt you will have any problems.

If you want to have extra protection, it is best to bring the level up to around 5-7 ppm and the Algaecide. This is one time during the year that the PolyQuat is recommended.
