Stand alone Hot Tub - inside or outside? Propane?

Hi,

So the house I bought a few years ago had a hot tub in a room with what i would call an 'observation deck'. I was worried my young boys would grow up doing cannon balls off the upper deck into the hot tub & get hurt (I could see myself doing something stupid like that). So we removed the tub which was a round cedar style tub.

Later the 'upper deck' we put a floor & it has become my wifes work from home office. So that leads us to today. So my pool is closed down until May 2017 (waaa) and more importantly the hot tub i used every day the pool was open (its part of the pool) is closed also.

So I started to realize why the last owner put the hot tub into his house. I am ready to replace the hot tub but i am a little confused on what to get, where to get it. If it should be a propane heated hot tub (i have propane in my house). I have two good friends, one is a plumber & the other is an electrician.

The room also has a sauna which works & I left in place - but dont really use as the room has become the 'Junk' room. We replaced the doors, fixed the floors - I am ready to take it back for myself though!

The room dimensions are 9' x 11'. The two sliders are 6' & the other is 8'.

Any recommendations or thoughts would be a huge help - photos below.

I have a pool and seaparate hot tub, and would reccomend that you buy a separate hot tub from the pool from a company like PDC spas and place it outside under the stars on a concrete pad. These use 220 volt heaters s built into the spa . My wife and i use it all winter in pittsbrgh

So I am rethinking my plan & may want to put the hot tub back inside my house vs outside.

I am coming full circle to the cedar round wood style tub. I have seen a number of them only - roughly $7000 +/- depending on heating methods (electric or propane).

Anyone using a wood tub?
