I started lowering the water below skimmers in IG pool. I then was like i should check the ph and it was high around 8. Was going to add some muriatic acid by then thought how can i recirculate if water is below skimmer? I figured i could just set the pump to recirculate instead of filter and only open the main drain but when i do that the pump still keeps trying to get up to prime like its still trying to pull air from the closed skimmers. I pushed down the valves on L and R skimmer valves but appears its still trying to suck from there.
