My Rite of Passage has Begun

A big storm came through and dropped innumerable leaves, seeds, etc into the pool. This is my first Fall with a pool and I plan on keeping it open year round. Wish me luck!

After grabbing leaves all day I came out to the pool at 4 AM to find this:

At least they are all together and easy to get to

I keep my pool open year round so know your pain. All I can say............good luck and have fun scooping. Do you have a deep net? They are awesome for getting large amounts up and out.

I don't have a deep net, but will definitely be investing in one!

Tis the season! Yes, +1 to a good leaf rake with a fairly open mesh so there isn't too much drag. I have scooped billions of leaves out of my pool, I'm almost up to a trillion!

    Same here.

The best day last year was when 3 garbage bags worth of pine needles dropped in.

They were floating when I came home. Saw them and thought, I'll clean them out tomorrow.
Then the pool iced up overnight with the pine needles frozen in. When it thawed a few weeks later
they all sunk to the bottom...
