    When to add stabilizer?

Hello all. With my pool kit I can test pretty much everything, but I'm unsure when I need to add stabilizer? Can someone let me know how to test and when it should be added? Thanks in advance.

    Re: When to add stabilizer?

Stabilizer should be added as soon as the pool is filled. Add your pool info so that we can help you better with how much to add. More here on what to put in your sig and how to do it, Pool School - Read This BEFORE You Post

Thanks pooldv. The pool school chemical page answered my question. Use stabilizer when CYA is low which is currently at 80.

Interesting numbers as I thought the numbers for SWC pool are:
    PH 7.2-7.7
    TA 80-120
    CA 75-100

    Re: When to add stabilizer?

Where did you get those numbers? Keeping TA that high with an SWG would cause all sorts of pH stability issues.
