This is the 5th year we are closing our pool. When we opened the pool late spring of this year it was so green it took us until the end of June to get the water perfect. Thanks to this site it has been perfect ever since. So, in closing this year, we thought we might need to add something like pool tech ez care before we close. I read the recent comment that we may only need to bring up the chlorine levels and PH slightly if read correctly.

I don't want to have to go through over 2 months of clean up next spring.

Can you offer some suggestions? Or is the easy answer just follow the pool closing steps you list here for in ground pools. Also, our pool is fiberglass not sure if that makes a difference.

Thank you

There's a good "sticky" post that you should see at the top of the TFP forum post page. If you don't see that, definitely refer to the TFP Pool School - Closing (Winterizing) Your Above Ground Pool page. Remember to close at late as possible then open early. When you close, refer to that link provided to ensure you follow the proper sequence of adjusting chemicals, adding bleach, and preparing to shut-down your system (if that's what you plan on doing). Don't rely on any other products to supplement your closing other than Polyquat 60. The closing for your FB pool is the same as for other. Hope that helps.
