My wife and I just purchased our home with a 16x26.5' AG pool. The season went great, didn't have a spec of green hit all season and monitored all the levels via the TFP method.
The original owner has sliding valves installed at the skimmer and return, however, the handles are broken off, and they're a real bear to pull back out, they also don't seal completely. So I wanted to replace them with ball valves, upon a little research it seems most people say ball valves will break over time.
Should I go with a 2 way diverter valve? Does brand matter?
Is it okay that they will be hanging off the skimmer and return?
