Thread: Hayward TriStar VS pump.....

    Hayward TriStar VS pump.....

    Can and/or should I run it 18-20 hours since that is what it's made to do....modified it some from when PB left it at 2800rpm for 12 hours......quite a big spike in bill........went to 2200rpm for 15 hours-that gave me identical water turnover rate......thinking of doing 1700 rpm for 20 hours (identical water turnover rate)........suggestions? anyone doing this already?
    15000 gallon pool (15x30 + 7x7 sitting area), IG-Blue Pebble, Sand Filter-Hayward Pro Series, Pump-Hayward Tristar VS pump, Water Test Kit-TF 100, NEW POOL-COMPLETED ON 5/7/16, City Water w/no restriction, Dolphin M400

    See this link, chances are you can cut your run time in half or more Pool School - Determine Pump Run Time
