Twist Lock Pump Timer?

Been getting gouged on electric bills so decided to finally get a timer. Bought the Woods heavy duty but then realized that I have a twist plug. D'oh!

What do I do now? Any way to get an extension cord adapter that would be ok and that I could leave outside? Or do I need to suck it up and hard wire a timer to my pump? (It's a Hayward Hi-Flo). Ps I'm no electrician. Thanks in advance.

Because of your skill level I'm going to suggest biting the bullet and hardwiring in a timer.

sorry this is a late response--that time of year of course. do you mean bite the bullet and call an electrician?

I also have the same problem - twist plug and we'll be going on vacation for a couple of weeks during the summer and i'd love to have a timer so I don't have to worry about having my sister have to turn the pump on/off.

Any suggestions for a timer? Neither my husband nor I are electricians. lol
