Did a backwash on our filter back in early August. The site glass for the backwash was clear when we did the backwash, (of course it changed as we back washed the filter, then went clear again). Today I noticed that the site class in a beautiful shade of green. Is that normal? Should I be concerned?

I believe water only goes through the site glass while backwashing, and perhaps when vacuuming to waste. It shouldn't be a problem, other than making it harder to see while Backwashing.
