Safe chlorine level to swim

Hi, I recently had to do a slam due to algee. The algee has been gone for 5 days now and the water looks crystal clear blue. I know my CYA is too high at 120. My TC is now 25.

My question is, what is a safe level of TC before we can get back in the pool?

25 is safe to swim at.

You should really consider replacing water to get your cya down.

A pool with 60 cya and slamming at 24 could swim at 23.

Yeah, my CYA was over 250 and now a lot lower but I have a ways to go. So, if I understand correctly, my 25 TC is safe for my kids, right?

It is safe to swim when FC is above minimum and up to shock level for your cya, [FC/CYA][/FC/CYA].

Just be aware at those high chlorine levels that the pH test is not accurate, FC needs to be below 10 ppm for the pH test to work right.
