SWG Performance Issues

Thank you for your posts here.

As I m a new in this forum located in Europe I m interested in the solution. To use the salt systems in pools is not very common here so the information level is very limited.

i m facing the same issue or low reading ppm from month to month on 5 years old T Cell. Additionally I recognized differen Amps/salt level between positive/negative reading on display.

The maintenance in my area is poor so I m mostly depending on forums and experiences of users and specialists from the abroad.

Looking forward to to hear outcome from TCell testing.

In my system when I had clogging problems, the salt PPM would drop leading to a "clean unit" indicator.

I'd check your salt level. Have you had a lot of rain?

I'd check your cell. Clean it with a garden hose sprayer nozzle as best you can. I fill mine with white vinegar to eat out any calcium deposits. If white flakes are coming out, keep cleaning until they are gone.

If you can visually see the plates are not clogged, and the result is the same, it's a pretty good bet the cell is bad. By the way, if it's reading amperage, it's working. You can do a chlorine test at the water outlet into the pool.

You should post the brand and the numbers you can get from pushing your diagnostic button.
