FC 17 Ok to swim?

Usually do bleach but in prep for a few days away, was fiddling with the Rainbow. Got a little aggressive with the settings and now FC is 17 (CYA about 40). And now some kids wish to swim. Ok to swim with FC 17?

Found old post by Jason. Anything up to shock level is Ok.

With your CYA of 40, anything UNDER your shock level of 16 is okay to swim. I would wait a bit, and even then, I would wear old swimsuits that you don't mind fading. Yep you beat me to it

Got it, thanks. 17 is not under 16 but could not keep 'em out so let the swimsuits fade.

You can use common 3% dollar store / drug store hydrogen peroxide to quickly neutralize FC, common brown bottle stuff neutralizes FC at about the same rate that the same amount of common 6% bleach adds FC.
