New glass tile is cracking

Hi all. Does anyone have experience with newly installed glass waterline tile cracking within weeks after installation? What would be the main causes of that? You can't feel the cracks on the surface with your finger, but you can see them inside.

Thanks.

Sorry for the late reply.

We bought the tile directly from SCP Distributors in FL at their NPT Tile showroom.

NPT sent out a local rep last week who took photos, water readings, etc. He said he would get back to me this week with NPT's official response.

You mentioned in your thread NPT said if you swapped out the tile, they would work it out with the builder and change to another tile selection. Does that mean NPT will take responsibility for the full cost of labor, damage to diamond brite, etc...or only the cost of the tile?

If NPT truly stands behind their product, then they need to accept 100% responsibility for a bad lot and incur all costs. Otherwise, they're simply selling and standing behind pretty looking glass that doesn't belong in swimming pools.

Only the cost of the tile. Labor would be on the installer.
