Wire size for pool pump

Convenience receptacles must be at least 5 but not more than 10 feet from pool and in my area- 1 is required.

I thought "convenience receptacles" were an NEC issue. Is that right?

Maybe I'm still going off of 2005? I'm a little lost. I've only read this stuff online and not from the actual NEC book. So my years could be wrong. There is a 2008 book now, correct? They're always changing stuff around.

It all comes down to the local inspector. Which isn't always the right path, btw.

5 feet is ok. Besides, your not having it inspected are you/ Besdies, if you have done it like we have talked about here, its to code anyway

well pool is up and running, everything went great, and also passed inspec. NEC 2005 still in my area
One thing I would have done diff. is get 1 1/2 conduit for easier pulling for the wire
I have not put any convenience receptacle in yet, since this free pool has not been free at all....
One this that I did not due was bond the plastic (resin) ladder to the pump (kind of missed that)
but he (inspector) never said anything about it
now to learn the BBB and how to use the chart
I did receive my TF-100 kit in the mail Monday
