I have a 2in non union check valve 2lb spring, should i replace with a jandy?

Was wondering if i should replace my 2lb spring loaded check valve that is between the heater and chlorinator with a jandy check valve?

How much better flow would i get? How much resistance is a 2lb spring check valve?

If yours is working properly, you wont notice a change in flow. However it should be a non corrosive check valve if its between the chlorinator and the heat pump. Thats the one i have, does the 2lb resistance effect the flow at all? Only use the chlorinator when i,m raising cya with tabs

Nothing that you would notice. And even though you only use it occasionally I would still make sure you keep the non corrosive type on there.

Even though my filter/heater is about 1-2 feet higher than the pool water level?

Without knowing details of your plumbing setup it is hard to say the exact flow reduction, but with a 2 pound spring I suspect it is noticeable, and perhaps worthy of the effort and cost to replace. A typical pool spring type check valve will have a 1/4 to 1/2 pound spring.
