    When to replace my liner

How do I know when I need to replace my vinyl liner? What is the best time of the year to do it?

Inherited the current one with the house and Im not sure how old it is. Looks like it had a rough life. Scattered bleached spots, a few things that look like rust stains, a bunch of wrinkles and bumps (all pretty small).

The liner is separating from the pool edge in a few places, although most of these are small. Tried fixing the largest separation with the hot water method without much luck. Also had a small (1-2) leak develop since I got the pool, which I patched.
In-ground (24x40) vinyl pool (~30k gallons), Pentair Clean and Clear Plus cartridge filter (Model CC420P - 150 gpm), Pentair 1.5 HP pump, Pentair MasterTemp 250 Heater. TF100 test Kit.

Sounds like you should replace it soon. Mine is getting replaced on Monday, because waiting for it to totally go would be much more expensive!
