Through the wall skimmer trouble

We have an Intex 16 X 48 ultra frame pool, that we paid someone to level the ground and put up for us. It's only been up about 2 weeks now. My husband just purchased and installed a hydrotools through the wall skimmer this past friday. We just got back today (sunday) and it appears that the weight of the skimmer in pulling on the liner of the pool and I'm afraid it will eventually tear the liner. Any suggestions?

Any chance of bracing it with a 2x4 or something to support some of the weight ?? Is the hose too tight/short and pulling on it ??
