We definitely have a leak in our pool (in-ground, vinyl liner). We're losing up to 2 inches of water per night with a solar cover on, pump not running.
A local pool company has been to our house a total of 5 times to locate the leak, and they've given up. They did two small vinyl patches and a repair to the backwash first and said it was good to go. We continued to lose water so they come back and ran the pressure test and vinyl leak detect again (apparently twice). They say everything is fine for both plumbing and liner. The only thing they think maybe possibly could be the problem is the skimmer because it's "old and rusty in there" but they can't say for sure. So they've given up.
Any suggestions on next steps?
If it were the skimmer, would it not affect the pressure in the lines?
