Leaking chlorine feeder

Looking for some advise on this...I assume this is an old automatic chlorine feeder but we have never used it. It has started to leak and is not aesthetically pleasing.

What are my options? Is it as simple as pulling this out and inserting a PVC section in to replace this?

Thanks in advance,
Shaun

While from looking at the pictures I don't think it will be all that simple, but yes, replace it with a piece of pipe. It looks like the 90 degree elbow is cracked?

I'm very surprised to see it connected to the inlet of the filter.

Thanks for the reply - yes this is how it was installed when the house was bought and we have never used it and never had an issue until now.

Yes - the elbow is cracked so that would have to be replaced. Just wondering the easiest way to go about this without having to call out a professional.
