Recommended alarm for water surface motion/safety?

Does anyone have a recommendation for an alarm that would detect any unexpected motion in the water, such as a child or animal entering the pool when they shouldn't? I know there are a handful on the market but curious if anyone has personal experience with one to recommend.

We have a Pool Patrol that floats on the surface and detects wave movement. It has a wireless alarm that is also set in the house. There are edge mounted alarms that may work better but we have an auto pool cover so the Pool Patrol was our best option for when we have the cover open.
