This is the first pool we have had since I was a kid. I'm now 61. Grand kids. I put it up myself. It was more work than I thought. I'm waiting for my TF-100 test kit to get here. Don't really know where to go from here.

Ok, until you get your test kit in, go ahead and put in some household liquid bleach (half a gallon should do it) each day to keep the water clean. It will get burned off daily from the sun until you get some CYA stabilizer in there, but we know that.
Have you purchased some CYA stabilizer yet? you can get it at Lowes or Walmart. Its a granular product best put in to a sock and hung over the side of the pool freely so that the water return current cane help it dissolve. You can squoosh the sock now and then to help speed it up, milky water will come out, that's fine. I would suggest putting about 56 ounces (by weight) or 58 ounces (by volume) in the sock to bring you up to aprox 30ppm of CYA. That will help your FC stay longer in the water against the suns rays.
