Robotic cleaners

Hi all, this is my first post! I recently had an above ground pool installed. My property is surrounded by tall trees and thus am scooping out lots of leaves.

I've been told that robotic cleaners destroy the vinyl liner due to the suction.

Can someone provide comment based on their own personal experience.

It would be appreciated!

I have had one for the last 2 seasons, no damage to the liner at all. I would not use any other type of cleaner, they are simple, easy, work great, and do a great job. You need to look for an above ground model such as the one that I have which is the Pool Rover Jr.

Thanks. Any thoughts on a kreepy krauly style cleaner?

I like my Rover JR too.

If you don't get a robot, get a pressure side cleaner. Kreepy crawler is intake side cleaner.
