Looking for SWG conversion pointers

I'm considering converting to a SWG system. Pool specs are in my sig, but what's not stated is the DE filter is made from Stainless Steel. Will this cause me grief? Do I need to get a different filter before I convert? Is there a sticky with all the newbie information listed?

The filter should be OK, unless it is low grade SS. Although, I'd say you already got your money's worth. SWG is worth having even if you have to replace your 24 year old filter.
