Calcium deposits

Does it seem appropriate that I should have to deal city my plates every other day? (due to the amount of gunk that builds up that fast).

What causes the calcium build up and is there anything I can do to slow it down?

Oops, that was supposed to read "decalcify", posting from my phone and auto correct is rude!

It is called scale and yes it can be prevented. Enter all your test results into PoolMath and it will give you a CSI score. Keep that number negative to prevent scale. Adjust PH and TA to change the number.

Ah, yes, thank You! I knew I'd seen it somewhere!

And just to clarify, this is in relation to the scaling on the metal plates in my SWG?
