CYA up to 60. I'm now switching to Bleach - Am I OK?

Bought the house about 1 year ago. Did what the previous owner did (pucks in skimmer).

I now understand CYA and have a good test kit. My CYA has started to creep up to 60. I stopped the pucks, and started using Bleach.

I don't want to mess with a major drain at this point (I drain some for winter).

Am I OK at 60 CYA now and using Bleach, or do I need to do something else? Does keeping the cover on help? Anything else to keep the CYA from getting an higher?

If you are only using bleach and no pucks and no "shock", your CYA won't go up any more.

60 CYA is high but not unmanageable. Pool School - Chlorine / CYA Chart
