sequestrant, should I add it?

read something about adding this or is it mainly for well water? Will it help anything?

Usually added once by PB for new pools or re-plaster after that not needed unless you have a metal problem with fill water.

Sequestrant is to bind metals in the water so they don't fall out of solution and discolor the pool or the water after chlorine is added, and it can help some with preventing calcium scale when high calcium levels are present. If you don't have either of those situations then there is no need for it.

It's a 6 day old fill. My CH was 325, city water. Chlorine is in the pool, I did not add for 48 hours per NPT stonescape recs.

If your fill is city water, the chances are slim that you have any form of metal in your water. As a result, you do not need sequestrant.
