    Keeping FC levels post-SLAM

I am post-SLAM and very happy with the results. My question is, should I add Cl to bring it exactly to the recommended FC per the FC/CYA chart and leave it alone until the next evening, or should I try to keep it slightly above the recommended level, knowing that the next day it will drop from the intense sunlight and heat here in southern Georgia (US)?

    Thank you!

More important than where you target is where you end up. Lets say you are CYA - 30 and you bring your FC to 4 per the chart in the evening. Then the following day you lose 3 ppm FC (normal). Oops! We are now below minimum of 2. In that case it would be better to target 5 or even 6 in the evening.

It's more about knowing your pool and its appetite

Right! You want to add enough FC so that the next time you add FC you are still above minimum for your CYA, FC/CYA Chart
