Convert Taylor "R" numbers to "HTH" or "Pool Shop" brand numbers.

I have from previous kits 5 or 6 HTH reagents (alkalinity titrant, alkalinity indicator, hardness titrant, hardness indicator, phenol red, and OTO bottles, and also Pool Shop reagents # 1 - 5. Does anyone know which of these would correspond to the Taylor "R" series so I can perform tests w/o buying the "R" series reagents? thanks

I cannot answer your question directly, but if you go to the tftestkits site, you can figure out your answer by comparing the tests your chemicals are designed for with the Taylor chemicals listed. Be careful, though, as the HTH chemicals may not be the same as the corresponding Taylor chemicals. I know that the Taylor phenol red also contains a CL neutralizer that other brands don't add to their dye. Others may be able to answer a little better than I.
