New Plaster - Haven't Added Acid

I just had my pool re-plastered 2 weeks ago however I hadn't added any acid to it. My wife was given a startup guide which she didn't share with me so I didn't follow any of the instructions. Is this going to be a major problem for the newly plastered pool? What next steps should I take?

Did you address any of this with the plasterer?

The first 30 days of plaster start up are critical. Add your pool info to your signature so that we can better help you. More here on what to put in your signature and how to do it, Pool School - Read This BEFORE You Post

Also, provide a set or two of test results as shown in link above.

Re: New Plaster - Haven't Added Acid

I have added my signature. I haven't spoken with the plaster installer however I spoke with the sales rep. I am going to get some samples of the water this evening and take them to my local pool store for analysis.

Who is the plaster manufacturer? Their website most likely has a startup guide and warranty registration. Similar to these
    Wet Edge | Warranty
    Pool Care Instructions Pebble Tec

And, of course, begin following the start up guide immediately.

While you're at the pool store, buy a proper test kit. You are going to need some very routine test results that you can trust, not the local yocal at the pool store.
