Idea on adding Bleach - in sheer descents?

I was thinking when I add bleach I'll just turn on the sheer descents and add it there. Seems that it would mix it well, mix it fast, and save me if I accidentally pour too fast. Any holes in my logic? I'm new to this, did a SLAM and now I'm headed into maintenance....don't want to screw up!

Also, I have read that some pour into a skimmer. Is there any advantage or disadvantage to pouring some of it there? I have a DE filter.

I add it either in our sheer descent fountain or in front of a return. Caution - avoid the bleach that is splashless. Our experience it causes major foam and bubbles. Must be an added chemical of some kind.

We do NOT recommend pouring chems into the skimmer. Adding it in the flow of a sheer descent is fine. More here on adding chems, Pool School - Recommended Pool Chemicals
