Hi all.

CatFluff - as I always appear to be covered in the stuff. Thankfully they keep away from the pool!

I'm an avid DIYer, so like to make stuff if able.
To date, I've built a skimmer, electric pool heater and in process of a solar heater.

To-do: UV steriliser.

Well, the electric heater was OK til an air lock burned the element, so I've redesigned it to prevent that again.

Only had the pool since July, so still cutting my teeth on the chemistry side.
Currently fighting cloudiness, but that's likely the intex cart.
Will be trailing 5-10 micron cart(s) post intex pump.

Skimmer is a nice cheap DIY project for some. I'll make a post for those interested.
110mm soil stack, 300mm long (though water depth length best.
Soil stack grill on top.
Cap on bottom.
I put a 21mm hole 1/3 way up, but you can put small holes.
Line up outlet, with grill 5-10mm under surface, mark, drill.
Put feed to near bottom, tighten, test!

Hello and welcome to TFP! It's been a few days since your first post. Sorry no one has gotten back to you. I think perhaps your DIY skills have scared a few people away. :p Regardless, we're happy you found us here at TFP. Feel free to post pics of your work and make sure you have the proper TFP-recommended test kit to keep that water nice and clear. Have a great day.
