Which PVC cement should I use?

I picked up a purple primer and the rain or shine one below for my plumbing but just want to be sure before I start putting things together. Is it ok to use it?

That's what I use. It sets fast and is easy to work.

Work it quickly though, because it does set fast.

That should work, just wear old clothes as those are the two messiest stain prone varieties. If you don't want everything to be purple and blue when you are done buy the UV Primer, and Medium Clear PVC glue (orange can I think, maybe red can). Medium Clear also gives you a bit more working time than the Blue rain r shine, and I find it a little easier to work with, the as the blue tends to skin over quickly.
