    What is this gross weird stuff?

    Vacuumed pool this morning, these are pics of what was in bag. Then this afternoon, I can't tell I vacuumed it's baaaccckkk! What is it ?
    Last Tests: Salt 3270 pH 7.6 FC 5 cc 0 TA 80 CH 175 CYA 75
    I will do overnight test and report. I have been getting this stuff for quite a while. I thought it was dirt from wind blowing because it is only on bottom of pool.[IMG][/IMG]

    Hope you shut off the SWG at least a half hour before you took your evening reading. Good luck with the OCLT.

    Yes, the SWG was off for about 6 hours. The OCLT result is 0. FC was at 5 at midnight and at 7 am it was still at 5.

    Was thinking I might add D.E. to sand filter. Would this help?

    It looks like dirt to me.

    You can try a little DE, but don't be tempted to add too much. About a good cup full is all you want to add at a time.

    It looks like dirt when viewed from a distance but when my critter or I vacuum, all that I get is this weird looking stuff. [IMG][/IMG]

    Think that part of what I was looking at might have been pollen from fruitless mulberry tree that's about 25' from pool
