First go of algae using TFP

New to the TFP method this season. Everything was going along fine until today. Just pulled my cover to find green algae, I guess my first step is a SLAM right?

FC = 1.5
CC = 0.5
pH = 7.8
TA = 120
CH = 100
CYA = 30

I have had plenty of readings like this before, just not sure why algae now. I target my FC to 4 and check every other day. Things were fine Sunday afternoon. Thoughts?

At some point, your FC slipped and it allowed algae to get a foothold.

Yes, it is now time to SLAM the pool.

After 30 minutes I have no FC loss.... Could it be something other than algae? I guess I will vacuum and brush to see where to go from next.

To verify if there is something organic in your pool you can perform the Overnight Chlorine Loss Test.

Your FC is below minimum for your CYA, [FC/CYA][/FC/CYA], in the test results you posted. When FC drops below minimum the pool is unsanitary and bacteria and algae can grow.

Still no FC loss after 2 hours, going to see how we look overnight

Lost 2.5 FC overnight, so I returned the pool to an FC level of 12 at 7am this morning before work. Got home to a FC of 7 at 4pm. Not losing FC fast enough to see a drop in 30 minutes, so should I just keep bring it back to shock level until I pass an overnight test?
