pH issue.

Hello,
Here is my issue. My clear pool had a pH of 7.2. I wanted it to be around 7.4. So I added pH plus and achieved my desired result, 7.4. This however makes the pool very cloudy. I can clear the pool water quickly by adding pH minus but then the pH is back to 7.2.

My chlorine is at 3, Alk is about 100.

Any ideas?

Im guessing its the product you used, because a move from 7.2-7.4 shouldnt be enough to cause a precipitation reaction. Theres generally nothing wrong with a 7.2 and most pools have a tendency toward a natural pH rise. I would suggest letting the pH come up on its own naturally, and worry about it if it needs to be lowered in the future.

You can speed up the ph rise by aeration as well. Turning return to break the waters surface, kids splashing around, water features etc... Creating bubbles will raise PH..
