I have a Pentair Minimax 250 that is about 10 years old and was working fine until a week ago. The trouble that I am having is that it will not shut off unless I shut off the gas. I have been advised to replace the electronic thermostat. Please advise.

When you say it won't shut off, does that mean even if you switch the selector that switches between the Pool and Spa thermostat to neither that it still runs? Or does it not have two different knobs?
I have the same model, mine has two knobs, one for pool and one for spa. There is a switch between the knobs that has two positions, one for each knob, and a center position for "off". Is yours the same or does it not have a switch?
