Up until now, water has been very crystal clear, left for weekend,i was told it rained really hard for our area for a couple of days, people watching our house turned off pump, checked levels immediatly, no free chlorine, adjusted, shock level, vacuumed, retested, levels back to normal, f/c 5.5, ph 7.5, alkalinity a little high, always has been with our hard water, cya at 65. running my filter now, seems to be clearing any other suggestions i might take???? never ever had a problem, this is new!!

Well, the only thing that really makes sense is you were in the beginning of an algae bloom but you caught it with the High FC you put in the pool and now it's just a matter of continued filtration and keep your FC where it should be.
