New to pool school!

Welcome Shultz06 :) Do you have a test kit (which one??) and can you tell us more about your pool and equipment.

First you will need liquid chlorine (bleach is fine) and granular stabilizer. The stabilizer needs to go in and dissolved to protect the FC.

Read this: Pool School - ABCs of Pool Water Chemistry

and this....Pool School - Guide for Seasonal/Temporary Pools

Holler back with any questions :)

addendum: Please add your state/province to that thingie over there <------ (While I can figure it out, Skippy :batman: my other half is easily confused:geek:) Thanks :)

Yippee :flower:

Re: Just filled our new pool with water. Now what!?!?

Fill in your signature (instructions) so we know how to help. Different types of pools (many exist) require different actions.

Maintaining swimming pool chemistry basically requires control of just two things: Safety (sanitation) and friendliness to people and infrastructure (pH). Everything else regarding chemistry supports those two.

Our new trouble free pool with deck construction still in progress:
