Good morning! To SLAM with a CYA of 50, your FC level needs to be "20". A pool size of 12.5K requires 3 gallons of 8.25% bleach to get that high. Hope that helps. Good luck!

Check the Chlorine/CYA Chart for you FC level based on the CYA level.

I ran an OCLT last night and this morning:

Last Night:
FC: 16
CC: 1.5

This morning:
FC: 15
CC: 1.0

The water was clear and I saw no signs of algae. The SLAM page indicates I should continue if CC is greater than 0.5. Should I continue the process?

Yes, I'm afraid so. Good thing is you seem to be VERY close. Excessive CCs just means your pool is trying to oxidize all the junk it's killed. Passing the OCLT is usually the hardest part for many, so let's hope today is the last day for you. Stick with it though. Almost there!
