hi everyone! I am fairly new to this game and have just trusted my local pool store so far, but after being told today that I may need to just drain my pool completely, I am a bit less trusting...this seems pretty extreme...I am here to learn and absorb info so that I can start the process of proper care of my pool sooner rather than later! I thank everyone in advance and apologize if I ask dumb questions that are answered elsewhere!

Well the 1st place to start on how to take care of your pool is getting your own reliable test kit. Dont trust your water testing to the pool store. Their testing is about as good as their advice. You can get a awesome test kit at TFTestkits.net Teh TF100 is the most recommended.

While you're waiting for your test kit to arrive, click on the Pool School button and start learning. The ABC's of Pool chemistry is the place to start.
