Brown Stains - white center

I noticed several dime size spots today...looks like rust but when i swam down to look it has a raised hard white center that i can flake off with my nail, but the stains remains and wont brush off. I tried rubbing viamin C on the staon and it did nothing.

What is this? How can I fix the stain and prevent in the future?

Post a couple of sets of recent test results so we can see what your water is like.

Ya sorry its finished now. I 5hink it may be calcium build up because there is a hard white nodular whith the brown around it. Could it be the dirt trapped in with calcium build up? Thought i read about something like that on another form.

Sounds like it could be calcium nodules. There is a description in this page, Diagnosing Pool Plaster Problems
