    How much HP for pump?

I need a pump for a 32x16 ft above ground oval pool. It's roughly 4.5 ft deep so about 15,000 gallons. Is there a recommended HP I need? 1 hp, 1.5hp, etc?

3/4 or 1HP should be plenty. My pool is a 20X36 IG and a 1HP is more than enough.

A two speed would be best. You can run it on low most of the time and use about 1/4 the electricity.
